I did manage to get a resolution after the front desk of the hotel contacted customer service on my behalf. The points were put back into my account but there was no other communication. I would contact the hotel directly and explain what has happened.

At the moment I still only have access to Row 40 at best - D to K - so in 46 D E watching, waiting and hoping something forward of 40 opens up. Given the demand for this flight you mentioned earlier I'm not expecting anything to change but you never know.
