Virgin Australia to Reconfigure Fleet - Spend $110M

That is barely a good indication, a quarter of the time you connect, and then when you try to sign in it says not available. Currently I just assume every virgin flight has no internet because 90% of the time it doesn't.

Changes to Virgin Australia Lounge Terms

When I read this email I must admit I thought for a minute they were removing food and drinks from the lounges, as in you wouldn't be able to get food or drink! The wording of the email, and the T&C's seem to be really awkward and confusing. I assume that they are trying to cut costs even...

A child seated away from parents on booking

Ok so if it is a general admission ticket then that section should be reserved for general admission pax and there should be enough seats in that area for all those pax to sit. I don't by GA to the footy and have no idea where at the ground my ticket will allow me access to. There are also...

A child seated away from parents on booking

I think a more reasonable way would be the same as it used to happen, you book tickets at the same time in the same transaction and the seats are generated sitting together, wherever that may be on the plane. If there isn't enough seats together it is a pretty simple programming thing to have...

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Ah that makes sense the timing. I typically find the food and booze at Qantas better and the lounge being larger I can usually find a quiet area to sit. I have been increasingly disappointed in the food offerings at the VA lounge in Adelaide particularly, never get the burgers or other things...

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Why would you use the VA lounge in Adelaide over the QF one? I guess it's a shorter walk after.

Article: When Priority Isn’t Really Priority

Use the priority bypass lane then head to one of the old scammers instead of the stupid stand and spread yourself ones.

Double velocity points (book by 14/12/22)

My 6 flights all came through together sometime on Monday or Tuesday. Now if only the flights I've taken recently would credit I'd be happy. I find it funny that virgin and flybuys are together and both really slow at points, and Qantas and woolies together are really fast. 1675840509 Double...

Double velocity points (book by 14/12/22)

Same boat, I guess no-one has received them yet? I need them this week, have a trip to book that I want to use points on if I had enough (800 short currently)

Qantas flight from Auckland to Sydney makes mayday call

Well it isn't a lie, they are crew, and probably the photo was after the flight, just they weren't on that flight.

Double velocity points (book by 14/12/22)

None here, had 5 flights I think it was booked and flown and just standard points shown up so far.

    2022 "wonderful" year in review

20 sectors, 24,042kms, 51hrs for me. Add an extra 5 sectors ~5000kms this week and a few more before Christmas to ad to the list. I had a slow start, most of my travel before April was Qantas.

Overbooked flight - laughable compensation offered to be offloaded

140sc I would do it, 140 ff points surely they missee a zero or 2.

Return of Wifi on Virgin Australia

Wasn't on my ADL-SYD flight yesterday, guess I'll find out if it's on my SYD-MEL flight today if I ever actually get on the plane.

    Hi from Barossa

Gday mate, if you are driving to the airport, prebook your parking and save a bit of cash. Getting to the airport from out that way is either really expensive or requires nice friends!
