I have been offered an upgrade from Business to First on AA - SYD to LAX for $775US. Is it worth it?? Also if I do, do I get the QF status for First (with AA) or remain at the Business earn rate? Any help or experience would be appreciated. Cheers,

thanks for that. I know from experience when trying to boost the Avianca/LifeMiles balance, you have to use the CDP for LifeMiles otherwise you get nothing. And the rates are quite a bit higher.

I'm booking a car with Hertz and trying to boost my Virgin Atlantic points with the booking. Do have to put in the VS CDP to earn, or just nominate them as my preferred? On the website it lists two different CDP's but only for US or UK/European bookings. Any ideas? Cheers
