I’ve flown the A330 recently in J and Y (MEL-DEL-MEL) on what I think is the longest flight QF does with these? Of course J was great (points upgrade), the return in Y I had the bulkhead seat 23A which I always try to grab on these planes to avoid the front seat recline and the feeling of a...
Great thread! I’d absolutely fly BFOD, both domestic and international, instead of choosing QF/Oneworld as I do now to maximise and retain my QF Gold status…
Would buy lounge access here and there on overseas trips to make a long haul flights and stopovers more palatable when travelling in Y
Of the current A&B types flying today and from the last 40 odd years my gaps are the A310, A350 and A220. My bingo sheet is full with the Boeing variants (excluding the 707).
Also a LH DC10 in the mid 80s, SIN to FRA.
Thanks Boomy, what an awesome TR. We get some great ones on this platform and yours is one of my recent favourites! I was late to read this one but what a truly enjoyable 45min it was
Flex Y UG to J on QF1 SIN to LHR Nov 20 as SG, received the good news around T-18!
My first time in the refurbed A380 and managed to snag 11A in Emerald city (is it still called that after the refurb?)
Headed up to SIN on QF35 in Y, absolutely chockers in Y and J.
Used this new system yesterday morning at MEL to try to print luggage tag. Four of the new units wouldn’t read my electronic BP. QF staff apologised and directed me to “the one that’s definitely working today”. Worked fine but this will cause more delays during peak times if not fixed…
No need in Hanoi, you’ll be through immigration fairly quickly, wait for bags at the belt and then I am usually waived through customs in the green aisle without another another X-ray
Pretty much everyone wearing masks at KUL tonight (10 Sep), will see if it’s enforced on the flight back to MEL tonight. It definitely was coming in from HAN today
I agree that Freo has done a great job getting their old hotels up to scratch for some great accommodation options! The Esplanade hotel is over priced and poor value. As an ex WA person I also always choose these when visiting family in Perth.
