I'm wondering if anyone has tried swapping the free buddy card that you get with the Plat Charge for this Explorer card? Currently have plat charge + free reserve as buddy, and edge. Gonna have to give up one if I go for the Explorer, but if I can swap the Reserve for the Explorer I think I'd...
how did you get to search FHR rates online? Is this AUS site? I always thought only the US site was able to do that (with US-cards). I always had to ring up to speak to someone which i find a hassle.
I have always wondered, why the business Plat Charge was more expensive than the personal one yet listed far fewer benefits. Almost no travel benefits above and beyond a lowly card.
Unless the benefits of the Business Plat listed is above and beyond the personal one? As a Business Plat...
Sharing my experience when I do multiple large transactions, that I get a txt on my phone to check whether they're legit. I reply with a "yes" and that's all that was required. Anyone else have this experience?
From memory Medicare has a reciprocal agreement with several countries, including UK. So in medical emergencies you're covered anyway. If I'm not mistaken it makes no real difference because it's NHS so everything is "public" anyway. As opposed to "private" medical care and hospitals.

2. FQTV is on Virgin - hence miles & status credit goes to VA Velocity
3. FQTS is on SQ for PPS purposes
Any wisdom on doing this?
Re: westpac business plat, yes I'm sure. I have received points on ATO payments albeit at very poor earn rates.

Thanks cove much appreciated. I have a Westpac Business Plat combo (Amex and visa) which earns 0.5 points fee dollar for ATO, which translates to 0.25 FF points per dollar spent. Which is pittance considering the surcharge remains the same.
Does anyone know if Virgin Flyer/high flyer gets points on ATO? Or is it hit and miss depending on whether the amount is "flagged" by them? Virgin cards are managed by Citibank, so I'm not sure on this one, would appreciate some advice thanks.
One possible theory is terrorist attack on china/Chinese. Whoever planned this might have thought they were going to be on a china southern aircraft but turns out it was codeshare on MH metal, so end up crashing another country's aircraft by mistake. And now nobody dares to own up to it...
