It is Aug 1... and can confirm that the Amex PP still works at TGM (Japanese/Korean restaurant) at Changi. Mostly because this is a "set menu" offered and not "dining credit" value offered.

yeah just curious how amex pays PP -- whether amex "pays" for a standard prestige membership for its cardmembers, or whether there is some complex calculation around usage. the latter would make sense for amex to shut it down as it might cost them an arm and a leg..

just to be clear, for AU plat charge holders, does this also exclude non-AU PP restaurants too? eg, TGM in Changi Singapore?

Had an interesting experience at Sydney with PP last night 1. Went to Mach2, 2pax flying (each with PP + guesting ability) and 2pax just dropping off and we had a meal. Mach2 said all guests have to have a boarding pass to redeem PP, so we only got $72 credit (and not the $144 we initially...

also interestingly, the activation slip still says $105.95, even though my receipt says $100...

took me 8 minutes to activate 3 cards. thanks to the reports here, i was patient and didnt escalate, but man, it took a while!

didn't work for me today at: Sydney York St (manned checkout) Sydney Metcentre (manned checkout) Eastgardens (manned checkout) Neither of those locations let me try self serve -- they saw me try it and immediately directed me to a manned check out... so it may be that it works at self serve..

Saltywings Opal still works with EGC -- I tried to do giftcard+opal yesterday and it didnt work, but opal on its own was fine with EGC.
