Hi all - I have 80 SC to earn Velocity platinum for the first time - but need to get there in 2 weeks before statuses start dropping fast! Any ideas travelling ex BNE? My other half has family pooling activated, so two of us can travel if need be. What's the cheapest way to do this?

I think you'll find a good number of the filled J seats on QF domestic are QF (and sometimes JQ) staff. Whereas VA staff don't have access to J class on either personal or duty domestic travel - makes a big difference in a small J cabin.

I believe the flight is capped for pax due to the distance, so you will usually get an empty seat beside you if you ask or seat yourself strategically. Makes a huge difference in Y.
