I know its maybe a bit foolish and overwrought, but I am really considering shifting my points focus from Virgin to Qantas so I can avoid the Max completely.
That's fine, I knew what I was booked on. I only mentioned it was a Saab because someone suggested they can't switch from a 737 to something larger.
What isn't fine is moving me to a flight two days later because they cancelled two of the multiple flights they run.
VA don't fly 737s CBR-SYD, they contract to Link on Saabs.
I've meanwhile gotten rebooked by my corporate travel agent on Qantas. And will really be reconsidering givibg Virgin any business flights again.
Virgin have cancelled my 17.35 flight from CBR - SYD this Friday afternoon and rebooked me on a Sunday morning flight. I think I might be better off walking.
I'm looking at upgrading my current 25L carry on to something that maximises airline luggage limits. Hoping to maximise packing space for minimum weight.
I've so far landed on either:
- Antler 55cm Brixham (1.9kg, 37L, expandable with one front pocket)...
Damn. With an Amex and a separate Mastercard I could still pool my points for a KF award. Now that becomes so much harder. While Avios may be of interest, there is no Australian card that earns them outside Amex; so that doesn't help.
I don't think they need to open their own international lounges given their currently limited international network; but they should provide access to a third party lounge.
I think the problem is both that gold and platinum flyers have a reasonable expectation of lounge access given that is a...
Does anyone have experience or suggestions to resolve online Krisflyer reward booking problems?
I always get to the final screen (flights selected, enter credit card details, select 'make payment'), and then receive this error message "We cannot process your request right now. Please try again...
News.com.au is reporting that Virgin's recently resumed Sydney to Bali service (sold as 'non-stop') requires a technical stop in Darwin now for refueling. This reportedly adds an hour to flight time. I was looking at tickets on one of these flights, and this is the first I heard that it would be...
I mean, they stripped off all the dead wood as part of the administration process; and are focusing on the most profitable routes at a time when domestic travel has really rebounded.
I don't think Rex can really compete with QF/VA on the golden triangle - they just don't have the fleet to match...
I have stopped carrying my Opal card ages ago .. just use my credit card ... too easy, and get all the benefits.
As for things to do, I personally enjoy going up observation towers whenever I'm in a new city ... so there is Centrepoint Tower (or whatever they've called it now days). Crown has...
After a bit more looking around, my understanding is that FFC allow purchase of economy class fares from the U fare bucket, or business class fares from the D fare bucket.
There are two different buckets - one for economy class, and one for business; they are not the same fare bucket. There...
Thanks for the suggestion ... I gave it a try, however, it seems that there are flight that even have all 8 business class seats available for regular booking, that have no availability with Future Flight Credits.
