    ATO Credit Card Points Summary

Hi All, Hope this is not seen as doubling up or a waste of time, but I have been trying to get a clear list of which Cards allow ATO payments for points and which don't - have not been able to find it. Ringing up is useless, as they generally do not give you a straight answer. So I thought we...

    luggage suggestions for a newbie

I love Globetrotter, one of the few "luxury" luggage brands, which are actually designed to be checked in. Once I discovered them, have not gone back - they just last. my 2 cents.

    Centurion 2011 Benefits

I do hope the MPC D benefit continues - have used it a number of times, and is definitely a good benefit. If it was a permanent, or long term deal - is a great benefit which would make allot of people continue to renew. If anyone from Amex is reading this, pass the message up the chain.

    Centurion 2011 Benefits

Thanks, No doubt we have to wait a year to find out. I will experiment, and see which way is better. I would consider switching to CP, if they brought FC back from Australia. At least the coffins are replaced !!!!

    Centurion 2011 Benefits

True. But my international point burn is mainly Sing, so don't really want to start with Asia Miles, as only way to transfer is from Amex. I don't think Citibank would do it. Wonder what First lounge staff would say - they should let you in, if the name on the card is the same as on your...

    Centurion 2011 Benefits

But domestically, you just need you MPD card - you can leave your QFF on your boarding pass - that would get you into the Bus lounge no ? Internationally, I assume you would need your MPD number to get you into the First lounge - showing the card would not help ? Is a complicated issue -...

    Centurion 2011 Benefits

Thanks Samhh004. I am Q Club Life and Silver. So flying on Qantas Metal, domestically, is there more value in Diamond MP or QFFSilver ? I suppose domestically, doesn't make much difference, as you show the card to get into the lounges anyway. Q wouldn't do anything special for a MPD -...

    Centurion 2011 Benefits

Can anyone tell me if you can use you MPD number with your QFF number on bookings ? Saves accruing flights to Asia Miles, and would allow both benefits. Thanks.

Virgin Atlantic 20% Bonus available again

I transferred last year, and have been of two minds. Found it almost impossible to redeem on VA partner airlines, and redeemed with great difficulty to HK. VA dont allow one way redemptions, dont allow changes without massive charges and point penalties, and seems to have very limited...

    Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

Brightdoc, I would love to know how you went about this, in a practical sense. I tried to book some flights on Singapore Air and ANZ, and found the request one date, wait 24 hours, then get told no, to be very difficult to create complex itineries. Is there some advise you could provide ? I...

    Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

I just transferred some spare points to Flying Club to give them a try. I rung to enquire about redeeming on partner airlines, and was told you have to ring and ask for a specific date, they then ask the partner airline, and advise you in 24 hours a yes or no. These seems a really bad system...

    Hsbc

My only issue with the credit cards, is the lack of frequent flyer point redemptions. I agree the service is excellent.

    Citigold

Anyone had any experience with Citigold ? I was looking into it thinking it was a good package, but the benefits seem to be rather lacking (other than one fee free account). anyone who uses it can provide some information on if its worth it ?

the "exclusive" CBA Platimum concierge ?

Hmmm, I dont think many people use them. I an intreagued by the proliferation of "personal concierge services" more in the US and UK. I wonder how CBA would go with regular ("daily" ) request to organise simple things ?
