"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

When does Air France release economy seats? I can see there are seats available but I can't seem to access them: On the other hand if I check in February, then I can see them just fine.

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

I just tried to pay for my Qantas flight with BPAY via Zip Pay. However afterwards, I noticed that there is a condition that says: BPAY payment is accepted from cheque or savings accounts only. BPAY payments to Qantas take up to two banking days to be processed. Does this mean I have to wait...

Best J seats on SG A380-800?

What's the best business class (J) seats to redeem on Singapore Airlines A380-800? We were really hoping for the double beds in rows 11, 91 and 96 but you can see they're booked out below, so what would be the next best ones? Maybe row 92 or 97 and hope that the seats in front cancel or are...

    Unknown refund from Aerolineas Argentinas

Yeah I think that's right. It's a refund to account for the 2 different exchange rates. https://secretsofbuenosaires.com/tourist-card-payments-dollar-blue-rate/

    Unknown refund from Aerolineas Argentinas

OK it doesn't seem to be specific to this airline. I just booked another flight on flyBondi with ARS and got refunded the equivalent of around 47% in USD (converted back to AUD by my credit card). The previous refund I got was also 47% of the amount.

    Unknown refund from Aerolineas Argentinas

I booked some flight out of Buenos Aires with Aerolineas and immediately got a 'refund' of roughly half the amount. The email confirmation says I paid in full and my booking is ready so I have no idea why I would my credit card would get a credit transaction for a partial amount. Any ideas...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Very limited Business for MAD-EZE (see below). Could Iberia have pulled out a lot of award seats for Qantas? I remember checking a while back that there would be plenty of availability for most routes. Now I can barely find one and it feels like maybe they've gone down the path of Qatar. Also...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Is it just me or are there no Iberia flights available on the Qantas website? I just did Madrid to Berlin in Nov23 and nothing... Also can't seem to find any Emirates flights from Madrid to Dubai.

How to book Turkish Airlines if not originating from Istanbul?

I'm trying to use KrisFlyer points to book Turkish Airlines on the Singapore Airlines website. I can book Istanbul to Amman but it get this message if I book the other way around. Do I need to call to book these flights?

    Can I share Krisflyer miles?

That will help me book flights for them but no way for me to use their KrisFlyer points?

    Can I share Krisflyer miles?

My partner and I have a number of Citi points that we are looking to transfer to Krisflyer and book a Singapore Airlines flight together. With Qantas, we typically just transfer all the points to one person to make the booking. That way we can be seated together and have the same booking...

Is it worth earning points outside Qantas?

That's a good point on availability and @levelnine's examples above really drives the point home. What's the best way to accumulate KrisFlyer points? It seems like Amplify points have the best conversion rate at 2:1 while the big 4 banks is 3:1 so seems less worthwhile. But I guess if you're...

Is it worth earning points outside Qantas?

Thanks for the insights. I'm just trying to work out if it's worth earning bank points and transferring them to KrisFlyer or just earning Qantas points and using the OW routes which aren't the most flexible. Take IST-LHR business for example, I could either fly: Turkish Airlines for 33,500...

Is it worth earning points outside Qantas?

For Australians, it's easy to earn Qantas FF points but seems very challenging to earn points for any other airlines. In particular, the Star Alliance has some amazing aircrafts that fly through Australia (e.g ANA, Eva, Singapore Airlines) but unlike the US/Europe, it seems very difficult to...
