Want to enjoy the luxury of the Qantas Club, but don’t fly enough to earn Gold status? No problem! There are numerous ways that you too can enjoy the lounge, and for much less than you may think.
One lounge access method is simply to purchase an annual Qantas Club membership. The cost is currently $510 per year, plus a one-off $385 joining fee for new members. But there is no need to pay full price as AFF GOLD and PLATINUM members receive significant discounts! By joining the Qantas Club through AFF’s corporate scheme, new members can currently save $235 off annual memberships.
One member points out that complimentary lounge passes come for free with certain high-end credit cards. For example, the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card comes with two complimentary lounge passes, as well as discounts on annual membership.
American Airlines also sells 30 day memberships to their Admirals Club lounges for just USD99 (~$139). Admirals Club members can access any Qantas Club lounge, provided they are flying on a Qantas or American Airlines flight that day! This is perfect for anyone flying a lot over a 30 day period – either in Australia or the United States (or both). Admirals Club members can even invite up to two guests per visit free of charge. This is one guest more than Qantas Club members.
