MEL-CAN - China Southern - PE ?

Guys and Girls,

So I may be heading to China in the next week or two for work and was having a quick look at prices etc.

Employer was going to book discounted Y for $~1100 on CX.

I am keen to fly SQ at around the same mark and I then jumped on BestFlights (Dont normally do this ) and found they have Premimum ecnomy fare for $1300. However i can't find it on the China Southern site itself.

Is bestflights reputable? Anyone know what China Southern PE is like? Happy to pay the extra $$ if its worth it!

Absolutely - have used them a dozen times without a hitch.

But I hate the 4% AMEX surcharge they apply

There seem to be mixed reports on Skytraxx of some aircraft only have mainscreen IFE showing Mandarin movies.

Personally I would be going for SQ in Y I think

Eeek! I reckon they've lost a sale then!

Looks like I might need to go to SGN as well so may just book on SQ Y. Try and get a cheap mile earning flight and I'll use my Westpac KF card!

I booked MU J MEL-PVG return May 23 / 29 with Best Flights incl 4% AMEX for $2,356.

I booked MU J MEL-PVG return Jun 20 / 27 with Flight Centre incl 1.8% AMEX for $2,381

I would rather pay ZERO surcharge but even an occasional 4% aint much when you consider a total years spend
