Maybe that's why Qantas wouldn't fly through the volcanic ash clouds last year,maybe they ran out of detergent..

I saw footage of them preparing for the flight last night on Sky News and she looked really dirty. I guess they were only focused on one thing and a clean up can come later.

Probably why she'll be in SYD for a week before going back into service.

They probably won't clean her up until she gets to Longreach The landing should be good to watch, better than Qantas 747 landing at Longreach - YouTube

Yes let's hope they have done a better job than Boeing did when they replaced the rear pressure bulkhead on the JAL 747 after the tailstrike which led years later to the crash of JAL 123

Apparently she was bathed 5 days ago, but then left in the rain.

It rains virtually every day in SIN, so that's 5 days worth of rain, dust, and dirt... but no matter how she looks, it's great to have her back.

Was she heading out? I did see an A380 take off as I headed in to the airport at around 4:30pm, which seemed a little late for a SIN or LAX departure.
