Just got a letter from Velocity Rewards the other day.
Offering me a Virgin Flyer CC that earns Velocity Points for every $1 up to $1,500 a month, $99 annual fee. The main attraction is that every time you book a Virgin flight (any fare type), you automatically get a free seat on that flight for free up to 4 times a year. There's also 10,000 bonus points for taking the offer.
Is anyone going to take this up?
I’m sure this has been discussed already, there was a issue with the free seat as it’s not the same as the seat you book and is only available on a special fare type that might be gone already, even if the flight isn’t full. Of course I wasn’t really paying attention so I may have screwed that summary up, but there is a thread… somewhere.
Edit: In fact here’s a thread (Virgin Money credit cards (linked to Velocity rewards)) from July.
