I swore I would be flying at all in May, but clocked up my 50th flight for the year, flying MEL-SYD this morning, and back tomorrow and, off to Adelaide on Tuesday, and Mildura on Friday, and Perth next week.

I was hoping to avoid much travel for May and June, as I'll be spending six weeks in the US from late July, flying pretty much every day, and then another two to three weeks in Europe flying pretty much every day. Just lie back and think of the air miles!

Luckily I've managed to fit in Thailand v's Australia in the AFC championships on July 16th in Bangkok, and two days break in Phnom Pen.

Enjoy Phnom Phen. It was an osasis for me while I was doing foreign aid work in Cambodia, I was in the sticks, and I have fond memories and love it dearly. Ah the Paris of the east.

Re: Your travel in 2007...monthly updates

Well as previously predicted, I only managed 4 domestic flights this month. MEL-CBR-MEL x2, both trips on QF.

Next month I even managed to negotiate with work to take me off the CBR roster as it's exam month. So as of now I have zero flights for June, but my exams end on the 14th so there might be a trip to CBR b4 I go off on holiday in July.
All opinions shared are my own, and are not necessarily those of my employer or any other organisation of which I'm affiliated to.

Re: Your travel in 2007...monthly updates

Hmm - the actual earning flights are in fact pretty poor for the month but they belie the fact that the travel in May was hard work - need to factor in the 4 dragon AIr non-earning flights (even though one was a CX codeshare):

    Month Summary:
    Code:
Date Transaction Description* Mileage Bonus Total
    STARTING BALANCE 246,331
    05/24/07 QANTAS AIRWAYS 128 P HKG SYD 4,571 6,857 11,428
    05/14/07 QANTAS AIRWAYS 127 P SYD HKG 4,571 6,857 11,428
    TOTAL MILES POSTED 9,142 13,714 22,856
    ENDING BALANCE 269,187
    YTD

    Code:
    Summary Date: May 2007

    Program to Date Miles: 269,187
    YTD Elite Qualifying Points: 66,545
    YTD Elite Qualifying Miles: 44,596
    YTD Elite Qualifying Segments: 14
    Miles Towards Elite Upgrades: 44,596

    Upgrade Account Balance: 36
Interestingly I got my new AA Platinum card this month - ahh EXP is not far away.

No more planned flights until THE BEHEMOTH commences on July 7 - trip report for that will be a monster

Thanks. The 100% status bonus should come in handy and with an upcoming RTW I get a chance to try out some F lounges.
