A interesting introduction to the QF J lounge at SYD

Well just when you thought you have seen/heard it all, along comes something to top it
Just had a beyond middle age man, well dressed carrying out the loudest expletive ridden phone converation I have heard
I am sitting against the far wall, this "gentleman" near the printer, and getting very vocal dropping several F-Bombs that anyone in the vincinty could hear.

Just curious.... and I mean no criticism under any circumstances.. but did you do anything about it?

These days at about the 3rd loud expletive I usually find myself saying something.....

...one day that will no doubt get me thumped! (It'll be worth it)....

It does however often lead to thankyous from elderly ladies etc.....

I didn't say anything but some else asked him to quieten down which had no effect.
A short time later he left the J lounge (on his own accord).

Was he British by any chance?
I ask only because, according to a recent post in another thread, that's typical behaviour. Supposedly.

Sorry, but that kind of language in public is uncalled for. If it was a casual or accidental F bomb I'd be more forgiving, but there's no justifiable need for it to be said constantly and loudly like that.

I have been known to swear a little so I have a higher tolerance I guess.

I am someone who would ask the person to quieten down if there were ladies present.

A few months ago in AKL (QF Emerald Lounge) there was a very loud young lady sitting with a companion.

Everyone in the lounge could hear her chatter about her day and the things she had been up to. I lasted about 20 minutes before I "politely" reminded her, that pretty much no-one, with the exception of her travelling companion, and whomever she was on the phone to, gave a toss about her day....

I suggested she could hold a loud conversation at the top of the escalators where she would also be able to delight in hearing her own voice reverberate off the walls.

She immediately left the lounge, to a polite round of applause from those remaining in the lounge, and to be fair..... She was much more subdued on her return.

American comedians (thinking like Chris Rock etc) aren't much better...

From my experience, young ladies at least these days can swear with some of the best of them...

If i was there with my child i would in short order suggest he give it a break and then take it up with the lounge staff...
