Well I'm pleased to report that Westralian Airports Corporation, after much aviation community pressure, has finally opened their new outdoor viewing deck. Located on Dunreath Drive (western side of the airport), it gives visitors a prime and near unobstructed viewing position at the bottom of RWY 21.

What's there, and what will I see?

It includes;

  • a fully wheelchair accessible facility,
  • sealed parking for approx. 30 vehicles

Between a Rock(pool) and a hard place - Part 1

by thewinchester on 23rd October 2011 at 03:51 PM
Well, as you may know, I was one of the lucky 16 selected to have lunch with Simon Hickey and Stephanie Tully last week. Here's a little TR on the journey.

Disclosure: This trip was paid for in full by Qantas as a competition prize.

Preplanning

You would have seen the posts in the planning thread that everyone was getting a little worried about receiving their itineraries. We needn't have worried, as their PA in concert with Red Roo had everything in hand.

Lunching with QF's Simon Hickey (QFF CEO) & Stephanie Tully (Head of Airline Loyalty)

by thewinchester on 11th October 2011 at 02:12 AM
Over on fellow flyer board Australian Frequent Flyer, Qantas ran a competition for that boards members to attend lunch with Simon Hickey (CEO, Qantas Frequent Flyer) & Stephanie Tully (Head of Airline Loyalty) to discuss the program.

Well, the questions to enter were submitted and I have been selected as one of the 16 members attending.

This is a heads up to MP QFF followers that I intend to be making available as much of the information possible, specially since

Asia 2010 - Chapter 13 – Osaka to Seoul

by thewinchester on 29th April 2011 at 02:00 PM
So having concluded our business of sightseeing in Osaka, and time preventing us from reaching the Umeda Sky Building – we make tracks for JR Shin-Osaka to commence today’s trip to Seoul.
