Re: ATO Payment via Credit Card

As well as paying the ATO by credit card which gets me lots of points, I have just made all my staff super payments via credit card. Just need to wait and see if this also earns me some points. Don't see why it shouldn't as they are all BPay payments.
I've done the hard yards...... and I'm still doing them!

I hope it's not treated as a cash withdrawal?

Before I pay the ATO or the Super Funds, I put my CC into debit mode ie have a debit balance on it.

should that be a credit balance, so it is fully paifed up and in credit for the amount of your BpAY transactions before you do them.i have many clients who ask me for our banking details so that they can "direct debit to our account", whereas the term should be "direct credit"

I understand the point you are making and agree. Terminology - what can I say? It's like people say ing PIN Number which is also incorrect. But I think most would better understand when I say "debit mode" meaning that I am using it as a debit card not a credit card.
