Here's a sample of what my preallocated exit row seat 13C on an upcoming 73H flight looks like:

Just doing a seat map query and things look to have improved; even better than before in that we can see all preallocated seats including those in bassinet positions and exit rows.
Seat map icons are largely different.
:Free Seat
:Occupied
:Available Premium Seat. (Also bassinet and exit row seat)

Certainly a lot easier to read. Different to what I posted here: http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/comm...tml#post113369 :
If seat 35A is free and 35B/C are taken it used to look like this:
..__A__B__C
35![]()
![]()
It now looks like this:
..__A__B__C
35![]()

Double thumbs up from me, i like the new format. And the flights i checked all the seat maps appeared to be working correctly.

Yep, for those WP's into row 16 on a 744 they can now see which seats are free before they call ...![]()

Ohlucky i am only flying 330's in the next couple of weeks then.
Is there something wrong with EF seat maps for QF?
I don't get to see the premium seats. It's either X or occupied.
Also, I have requested an upgrade for tomorrow's international QF flight.
A few days ago it was showing: J9 D9 C9 I0 (but seat map had 6 empty seats)
Then yesterday it had: J7 D6 C0 I0 (seat map with 2 empty seats)
Now it has J6 D6 C6 I6 (seat map still shows 2 empty seats)
What's going on? What are my upgrade chances? (requested 6 weeks ago and WP)
thanks

Since I last posted this thread E/F has changed again for Qantas Seat maps.
The P 'unoccupied premium' seat icon has been replaced with the X 'Unoccupied Blocked' seat icon.
So, what used to look like this (Premium Row 35 on 744):
..__A__B__C
35![]()
![]()
Now looks like this:
..__A__B__C
35![]()

How long before your flight; if within 24 hours then the upgrades should be being assessed soon.Originally Posted by Chucksta
I think it likely that Qantas expect some cancellations/rebookings. FWIW, Seat maps are not always a reliable guide, especially within a few days of the flight.
I just booked one of the cheap SYD-AKL flights in December (incidentally, cheaper on Expedia than Qantas, AA or Lan) with Lan. Within five minutes it had posted in the bookings section of my QF profile. I'm on LA800 at 10.45am and my profile shows 17H on an A340. However, when I pull up the seat map on Expert Flyer, rows 15, 16 and 17 aren't displayed. Any ideas?
EDIT: Never mind. Now it's showing.
