    Transferring Diners points to QFF?

Advising my father who has c. 100,000 points left on his Diners account, having not used his Diners for years but they keep waiving the fee so he's never tried cancelling it again. He was complaining about how he can shift it over to Qantas anymore - is that true and if so, is there a way to get them there indirectly like through one of the hotel programmes?

You cannot TF Diners to QF even indirectly. Your best bet is to TF to Starwood. 100K Diners = 50K Starwood which you can use to book Starwood hotels. Alternatively, you can transfer Starwood pts in multiples of 20K to get 20+5=25K AA miles; so you can get to 60K AA miles which you can then use to book oneworld awards including QF awards. The 100K Diners can also be converted directly to 50K krisflyer miles to book flights on SQ. Hope this helps.

Excuse me...you most definitely CAN transfer DC points to QFF; I have done it numerous times (though not for a while I must say). Have a look at their website: Welcome to Diners Club Australia

We're proud to admit that we have the most comprehensive airline partnership program in the market. Our Members can choose from 10 international airline partners including Velocity, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Air New Zealand Airlines.

The only way you can now transfer to QFF is if you have a Qantas Frequent Flyers Diners Club Card . Standard Diners Club Cards do not allow you to do this anymore. This came into effect about 18-24 months ago , as I was forced to change cards so I could still have my Diners points converted to QFF Points. With this card they are transferred automatically to you QFF account each month. This therefore locks your Diners Points to Qantas , which in turn locks in your loyalty to QFF Programme. Its how the world turns ;-)

Points that are on the Standard Diners Club Card can now only be transferred to various other airline programmes including Velocity.

Well, I can only comment that my DC card is definitely not a "QFF Diners" type, but when I log on to my account on the web site, the "redeem points" options presented to me include transfer to QFF.

This would make sense as this is the way Qantas have tied up most other CCs around the place.
    cheers,

Re: Transferring Diners points to QFF?

Sigh. Rang up QFF asking if I could be auto-enrolled into QFF or at least Velocity.

Operator told me that since my card is a Corporate Card, I can ring up and transfer any amounts, any time to QFF, for free.

Hope she was not pulling my leg.

Did you manage to transfer your Diners reward points to FF points?
I've got a corporate Diners card and want to do the same thing.

    Haven't tried.

    Only made one purchase.

( I rang up hoping to auto-enroll because I just got it for the first time).
