kinkacruiser. As we all know, in this internet-age, its pretty easy and cost-effective to do the booking your self.
But our members have come up with some compelling reasons for using a travel agent.
Can make bookings all on one PNR which the customer could never do via websites
Often knows the area and can advise on good vs bad places to stay
Can find hotels during times when vacancy is low
Can often do as good deal as what you'd find on the web
If something goes wrong during the trip you have someone who can call to resolve issues.
A good agent knows your travel preferences and will book accordingly.
It also can make good financial sense
we like to book a year out but only pay 4-6 weeks out. Can’t do this online but can through a TA. As I have operated on an overdraft this more than pays the TAs charges.
