Long-term AFF member kpc is looking for suggestions for transfers for 3 from Heathrow to London city
Probably have 3 suitcases. Read somewhere that a black cab will cost about 90 pounds one way, and I'm also worried that we may not get all our bags into the cab. So looking for a pick up transfer service that is reasonably priced that would fit us all in, with luggage. Doesn't have to be the latest Mercedes limo
    Some members recommend public transport
Heathrow Express (GBP18 one way, 15 mins, runs frequently) and Heathrow Connect (GBP8.50 one way, 25 mins, runs every 30 mins) will both deposit you at Paddington, from where you could tube or taxi it to the hotel (unsure of the cost of that part of the trip, and does not necessarily address your concerns of the bags fitting in the cab). Tube is also available from LHR, but at GBP5 for the trip, I would go the Connect.
I concur with the Heathrow express option. It is fantastic and Paddington station is very easy to navigate to taxi rank with luggage
Our member has decided to use an Airport Car Service.
£62 for 3 pax with 6 pieces of luggage (station wagon / estate car) and they will meet us at arrivals
Looks like a good deal. Follow the full discussion HERE.
