    Our new member pbissett asks
I'd like to get some ideas on whether people think QC is worth paying for. I understand that for the most part I will need to decide if I think I will get the value out of it and that will, of course, be determined by how many times I expect to use it. But what I would like to know is what others think would be reasonable use for the money
Our members agree that frequency of use is a key factor – probably worth it if you use the Club once or twice a month. That’s about 40 visits a year. As a member noted
when the Melbourne QP was closed due to fire the other week, members were issued $30 vouchers as compensation.
So 40 x $30 = $1,200, which certainly covers the annual fee. (Incidentally, our GOLD members do qualify for our discounted Corporate rate - more)

Another member takes a contrary view
I've been thinking that it actually benefits less frequent fliers more than really frequent fliers. I travel more than weekly and I just get to the airport in time to have a beer and board, often less. Infrequent travellers tend to get to the airport a good hour or more before their plane, so will get a real benefit out of lounge access.
And then there is the type of flying you do
If you are on a flexible fare doing the SYD-MEL run or similar on a regular basis, I would question its worth. However, if you are on best fare of day without flexibility, or you are doing red-eyes DRW-SYD or PER-SYD, or late night departure from SIN, HKG or NRT, then its value is far greater than the $30 voucher.

Don't miss our (relatively) new member fbrimfield's Report on his recent Malaysian Business class experience. This is a thoughtful and objective piece of writing with plenty of photos – and even a video tour of the Satellite Lounge. Whilst our member was impressed with much of the product, he was a bit disappointed with the service of the cabin crew.
Service on the ground at Kuala Lumpur, from check-in to the lounge is excellent. Similarly, Malaysia's catering is hard to fault. Having experienced excellent crews with Malaysia before, I can definitely say that grumpy crews are not standard across the board.
However, other member’s have had excellent cabin service
We have just returned from J class return trip to the UK via KUL. We found the service offered fantastic and no issues at all considering the price we paid was just under 5k each. Great satays, food really was excellent and FA 's all great including one who reminded me of Chow from Hangover 2.
