A new member is planning a trip to the US and wonders what the AFF view is on internal US airlines. In particular, as our member is a Platinum Velocity member, he/she is weighing up Delta vs Virgin.
Both seem to have similar prices, I am a platinum velocity member will that get me extra luggage allowances, lounge access etc?
The AFF view is pretty clear Virgin America is the favourite.
after a LOT of research, in terms of the actual flight experience I think Virgin America is a sensational airline and Delta is terrible
I've flown both; I can safely say that once you're in the air, Virgin America is by far the better airline -- the service is friendly, the interior is better than Virgin Australia's new one
Virgin America is amazing to fly with, Delta sucks dogs balls. It's chalk and cheese really
One lone voice does barrack for Delta
my experience of Delta was fine. I found the cabin crew were very friendly and helpful
Regarding lounge access and status credits: both airlines offer Velocity Status credits, but Virgin America dont offer free lounge access to Platinum Velocity frequent flyers, or anyone else for that matter.
