It must be said that Steve Jobs work had a profound effect on many who travel for work and pleasure, his pioneering work and efforts in the IT field have made my commuting hours much more pleasant than they might have been. I will miss your work Steve, even if I am a devotee of the x86 world as a former Intel employee - RIP, and a big thank you!

Very sad indeed..
He has certainly changed the face of personal computing, and the use of the letter "i"!
I remember around 96 when apple were on the verge of going broke and Steve came back into the fold.. Amazing turnaround and shows what a visionary he was.

I was fortunate enough to work for Apple in 2nd half of 80s.
Even though Steve had left by then his philosophy had been indelibly stamped on the company, and it was just a great place to be.
From his return in 97 Apple has gone from strength to strength to strength
A true visionary and will be sadly missed

Sent from some Apple thingy through the ether
Very sad day for the technology industry indeed.
It seems to be that twitter is over capacity as a result of his death, I can't get on.
RIP Steve.
Every day Steve's design genius is in front of millions of people in the form of products that people love. It's an extraordinary legacy. We may not see anyone like him again in our lifetimes. RIP Steve.
Sad news to wake up to.
Wonder how their stock price will do tomorrow?
