Pre Paid SIM and Mob phone package at Brisbane Airport?

I have a work colleague flying in from DFW to BNE on Friday who would like to purchase a pre paid Mob phone and SIM upon arrival in Brisbane...he has a locked U.S.
I Phone so he needs a cheap hand set and local SIM to have an AU no.

As I will not be catching up with him for 24 hours or so (when he later flys to SYD) I can not have one ready for him on his arrival in BNE.

Does anyone know if there is a good value deal available at BNE international upon arrival or would he need to head off to DSE or Office Works etc?

They have a Samsung E1050 cost $20 inc a SIM...great deal for a disposable mob phone!

A Samsung E1050 for $20 or a Nokia 1616 for $26...

NB the Nokia would also be usable in the USA, as it does GSM 850/900/1800/1900.

An alternative option would be DFO Woolworths - although it would mean catching the free bus to DFO from the Airport first...

You could also possibly get a SIM/Phone on the Optus or Telstra network at DFO or at the newsagent (News Travels) at the international terminal.

Woolworths DFO would have Telstra Phones.

$49 for a T100 prepaid phone.

Next G coverage so at least it will work where ever they travel with Aust.

For $99 they could get a prepaid smart phone and get e mail here in Aust.
