Hotels that charge fees for access are not worthy of our business - I avoid any hotel that does not include access in the rate or package.

Wow this really got me. I saw what I wanted to see. Free. Now I have already book the hotel in Central Berlin. It is still a good rate but internet is not for free. Please can anybody suggest a good pre-paid internet experience of their's in Germany. I know that there is free interent at Starbucks and MacDonalds but I was hoping a mobile broadband option like we have in Australia exists in Germany as well and at a good price? I leave in 2 days please any suggestions would be fantastic. Links too.
Cheers

In room internet is not for free and found out it is a heafty 19 Euro per 24 hour period. But on the contrary it is very fast and agile as compared to the shared internet services elsewhere. The Kempinski though should make it cheaper! There is also Starbucks outside(across the road) and for a coffee u do have the internet. (free).
I did some quick shopping yesterday and MediaMart a shop like Harvey Norman in Australia has sveral options including surf sticks and micro sims for the iPad. My German friend pointed me to O2 and Vodafone and D Telekom. They are cheaper. I finally went with O2 I got a surf stick 7.2 MB prepaid not locked and a microsim that can be used between the ipad or iPhone.
If anyone has any other experiences please write!!

So far from my (underline)own experiences in Germany. I have found T - Telekom very good to purchase a sim card for an iPhone and pay one Euro per day for unlimited Internet !!!
I beats 24 € per day at the Kempinski Hotel.
Also Deutsch Telekom has a deal for WiFi in Germany and shares it with Boingo but you pay approximately 29 € for 30 days. It is also unlimited download. Make sure you have access to it ( WiFi) otherwise you will have problems with access.
The Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens has free wi-fi access in all rooms and public areas of the hotel, can be a little slow at busy times but still usable and no cost.
Yeah...the Internet is priced into the offer.
Interestingly, this came in yesterday's SMH.
