Anyone know of a cheap way to call home (Australia) from NZ with mobile? Telstra int'l mobile rates are $2.80/min. Skype is not practical. Maybe a short term plan from Telecom NZ etc. I am here til March..

I believe that serfty has a NZ sim card so should be able to help with this.

Alternately if you have a late model iPhone and have wifi access you could always use FaceTime.

thanks serfty.. yeah one of the guys at work hooked me up with the info. and youre right..it's easy as. plus when you top up you get an extra 10%. it's a vodafone prepaid Supa Prepay

I just had a look at www.onemobile.com.au they're a new prepaid provider in Oz, but they recommend buying a prepaid calling card and using your company back home in NZ.
