    You're right. Looking at the T&C's more closely, it does say "The comparable fare must be for a one way direct flight on the same route at a comparable time." [I was hoping the the JQ MEL-xSYD-HNL would have applied].

    ISTR "comparable time" is usually <1hr different too.

    The less than 1hr applies only for intra-Australia, NZ or Vietnam flights.

    For international flights its the same day comparison;

    On the same day as the applicable Jetstar flight, in the case of direct Jetstar (JQ) or Jetstar Asia (3K) flights between Australia and other Jetstar international destinations or New Zealand and other Jetstar international destinations;

    Things work, you can have ice in your drink, eat the food, no dictators or military juntas.....

    Hawaii is good fun.

    I agree....I like the whole 'vibe' of Hawaii and the shopping is pretty good too. I do miss the good ol JQ start up days of $249 each way or the even better BOGOF sale. Managed $1038 rtn last Nov on QF ex SYD-LAX with free HNL stopover which was fun, have not seen anything close to that though this year with the strong Aussie.

    I do also love the craziness of Asia, certainly a different kind of experience but none the less you have left down under

    FYI Strategic's Bali sale last month was much better; $351 rtn ex BNE\MEL inc luggage/food!

    I was looking into the possibility of booking a flight with these guys, but ended up going a different routing.

    I was put off by their confusing credit card surcharge information.

    It states that there is a 3.9% surcharge for Diners and Amex, and then only gives the option of Visa and MC for payment. So the question is "will those surcharges apply once they start accepting Diners and Amex, or are they also charging them for Visa and MC"?

    If they don't disclose a surcharge for Visa/MC then they can't charge one.
