I've only flown Vietnam Airlines once. Plane was very old. My inflight didn't work , my tray table was broken. Overall it wasn't the best experience.

Looks good, but what is Vietnam Airlines like.

I assume those are J class prices so here are some 2011 reviews: http://www.flatseats.com/Reviews/vietnam.htm
I'm flying them domestically in Jan but I dont think there's any comparison to their international metal.
Well, have just taken a punt and booked MEL-SGN-CDG return for $3.9k (with a stopover in SGN on the way back) on Jetabroad. My first time flying up the front of the 'bus.
The SGN-CDG and CDG-SGN legs are codeshares on AF metal, so will get to sample two J-class products for less than AF (or QF or BA) is asking for Y+ on its own codes...
Lets hope that the new VN lie flat seats are okay (but hey, they'll be a huge improvement over Y, my usual 'I'm paying my own money' class of choice).
Thread bumpage...
VN's doing J class on the cheap to Europe again. $3.7k-ish to CDG, $4k-ish to LGW.
Not Quite Nigella on VN J: Ho Chi Minh, Saigon, Vietnam Food @ Not Quite Nigella
I actually like VN however, have only done internal whY & J & REP-HAN in J......been very good & would not hesitate getting on board again.
Thanks for posting this info.- its a good deal for J from melb. to europe.
I have only travelled Y on VN and found the experience positive.
Pity I can't try the J flight to CDG this year.
Business class to Europe for <$3800 on VN is amazing value! I am so tempted!!
Keep looking in lastminute.com.au. Vn has cheapish flights out of Sydney, and HK is cheaper than VN or Singapore.
This is the cheapest Vietnam Airlines sale I have seen for a while, but Brunei Air is in there too.
Too many to list.
We've flown a few Vietnam airlines flights and we were really impressed. Planes were new and looked pristine. Crew showed exceptional service.
