Preserving the somewhat cryptic (but definitely decipherable) nature of this thread, here's a fare that I found recently. I don't know if it's actually new or not, but it's certainly new to me.

The fare is very similar to another fare in this thread, with similar routing rules. Although the destination is the same, the origin is different, by 236 miles. Without too much effort, I can get a routing earning 360 SCs for around AU$500. I suspect that talented travel agents might be able to do better, but that's what I've found with ExpertFlyer, and confirmed that it's bookable on the AA website.

Thanks all. Great info. My girlfriend lives in Barbados, so I have been flying over once a year for the last 3 years. First few times I would book direct and get overcharged and miss out on sc. I just got back to oz and did the instant upgrade and now gold. I didn't work out this route however Next year going for plat as I'm flying over mel-lax in business. So thanks all one again as I read the forum to get a few tips on flights.

Not at all, although many choose to luck before contributing for years, what I am saying is that your perceptions of the community may change after a while!

I am pretty new to AFF but those I have met are great guys.

The knoledge from the AFF is worth its weight in gold. JASA/FASA is a simple example.

I need to learn more to work out the riddles etc and some of the lingo, but I always have a choice to PM and just ask?

Do not know if this has been mentioned already but there are great fares currently 720 SCs ex LAX to SJU return through NYC in F by selecting the routing with the most stops for only about 830 USD - 2 days flights with a nights stop in SJU.
I have seen this fare on special for 699 USD for 720 SCs. I am soon to start a similar route 699 USD for 630SCs but will likely make it a AA platinum challenge as the one flight covers the 10,000 EQP taking into account the F bonus.

Yes, those routes have been mentioned but are generally mentioned cryptically so the routes don’t disappear too fast, and to make things fun
