It is really a $23 voucher when Jetabroad tack on their fees...

This voucher has come in handy as I am looking at booking some DJ flights BNE-CNS end of July although the saving is inconsistent and certainly not $50. On some flights there is a $23 saving, on others it is a $14 saving while other flights are not offered at all. To be fair though one should also add VA's credit card surcharge of $9.

I have never used Jetabroad before so is there anything I need to know?

Take it to your TA and get a price beat. I have $100 worth of FC vouchers now hrmm what to do.

Book it as a single trip for one person only, it applies the discount to each booking - regardless of return trip or multiple people traveling.

I'm finding a saving of about $20 per leg, it's alright if you match it up with HH or special fares (see VA SC run thread).
They charge a $27 booking fee, and a $4.50 fee for payment IIRC. If it was $50, I would be getting $10 airfares ... lol. They just whack on some absurd charges to make up for the advertising benefits.

I reckon it's an OK deal. A $20 FC voucher for later use, plus ~$20 off your initial booking. I got some $50 ADL/MEL fare, so with the voucher (for a later booking), it makes it $30. Not bad at all, considering FF points are earned at the $69 base fare rate, as well as 10 SC's.

Would anyone else beat a discoiunted price? Won't they see that there was a discount applied? Anyway running out of time as it needs to be booked by tomorrow.

I did not think that was possible and the terms and conditions state one voucher per person.

You get a voucher to use later as well?

Re: JetAbroad $50 off Virgin Australia

I've booked 5 discounted trips already with Flight Centre, the guy was initially skeptical but once he managed to find the booking he did it no problem. He liked to remind me multiple times that they would bring ANY quote that you find on ANYTHING, not just airfares, as long as they can confirm it.

When the TA books it for you, they book it at the standard VA rate. So for MEL/ADL, this was $69/$79. That is what they send into VA, and that is where your velocity points are credited from. They then manually apply a discount during payment on their side, beating the quoted price by $1. So you get charged like $50/$60 ish in reality.

The FC price beat guarantee gives a $20 voucher every time you price beat on a single booking only. The price beat has a 24 hour cooldown period before you can use it. I have $100 worth of FC's vouchers for myself and $40 for 2 of my friends now.

Interesting. I do not believe I have the skill to do what you have done.

But you have explaied how Velocity is handled by booking through an agent.

Anyway can any with any experience with this Jetabroad offer confirm or deny that it is possible to book more than 1 itinerary with the same offer?

My sister is now coming to visit, and has taken advantage of this offer. Saving ended up closer to $20e/w than $50 e/w.
