1 Year On…

I’ve now been a member here for 1 year and have to say I’m really enjoying the community and am glad it’s been so accepting of me.
I joined because I was flying CX less and couldn’t retain my CX Silver membership (which gave me lounge access when flying CX), but read I could buy discounted QP membership through the site and that in turn sparked my interest in flying around Australia, meeting new people and seeing new things.
I don’t think I expected to integrate myself so into this community when I joined, but I’m glad I did, as it’s been a great year, even though I haven’t actually reattained a Silver membership status just yet.
In my first year of membership I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge that I wasn’t able to use myself as I don’t have enough money, but am now able to successfully offer advice as if I have flown all over.
I guess my goal looking forward is to find a job I like (and get hired) so I can start making money and be a SFSC. It’s just a shame I can’t put the knowledge to better use right now.
Oh and sorry if when I’ve met anyone here at a social event I’ve come across as an alcoholic. I’m really not, but a drop or two pulls me out of my shell, and sometimes it’s easy to get carried away in a lounge when it’s free.
