Well it has been 15 weeks now of my weekly commute ADL-SYD-ADL and I've been wanting to share some thoughts/observations that don't really warrant a separate thread. I'm looking at November flight CBA-Paris, then flight to either Barcelona or Casablanca to catch a (large) sailing ship transatlantic to St. John, Virgin Islands, flight(s) to Mexico, then flights via Phoenix to Spokane, returning to Australia from Spokane to Seattle or Portland then to Honolulu, then Honolulu to Canberra. Would I be best to look at rtw or individual sector flights?
As the parent of a Qantas pilot I am classed as a category b traveller. My question is this . Is it possible to upgrade from economy to premium economy ? I understand that only category A are allowed to upgrade to either business or first.
A last-minute decision to spend the weekend in CHC saw me booking a flight back to MEL with Pacific Blue. All things being equal, I would have booked both ways with DJ - but the lure of the FLounge was too great. In case you're wondering, the JQ flight MEL-CHC was a) late and b) uninteresting. I'm currently holidaying in NZ with my boyfriend. After spending the night in beautiful Ohope we drove to Whakatane to do a trip to White Island. After paying NZ $185 each we boarded the Pee Jay 4 and had a leisurely 2 hour ride to White Island. Morning tea of vegetable soup was served. We were transferred to White Island by a Rhib as PJ4 could not get in close enough. With helmets on our heads (where else would they be?) and gas masks round our necks we were briefed on what to do ...
