  1. Get a room!

    by , 29th July 2010 at 07:36 PM
Sitting here on the bench in the QP at SYD T3. just relaxing checking out Air Berlin. The statused security lane was actively policed tonight, for the first time IME.

Anyway there is a serious GET A ROOM couple that have plonked themselves next to me. Full sloppy slurping sounds are assaulting my ears. Argh! Do these people know about germs.

I've got a half decent picture on iphone so I might upload that later in case it is any of you.

  2. A few random tips

    by , 10th June 2010 at 07:44 PM
I'm trying to keep up a weekly blog of relatively interesting things from my weekly flying experiences. It is proving to be a bit difficult. But then I also try to do a blog related to my professional activities and I only have about 3 post from the last 12 months there. Perhaps I need a new career

As I might have mentioned I hit Gold 3 weeks ago, for the first time. The gold pack arrived during the week and the kids now have a gold luggage tag each. Gold luggage tags are too ...

  3. Cairns Lounge access and other bits and pieces

    by , 21st May 2010 at 10:48 AM
I write this in the Reef Lounge at the Cairns International Terminal having just completed the first leg of my trip to Japan. The full trip is (SYD-)BNE-CNS-NRT-CNS-BNE-ADL

I won't comment on the domestic legs because seat 1C in QF domestic J is fairly well known. I will say that I was of great assistance to the CSM went I showed her how to turn off an iphone to "help" one of the pax down the back. I also really enjoyed being back up the front after a 12 month absence. ...

  4. Strange early flight

    by , 3rd May 2010 at 09:36 PM
My early morning flight today started out promising but turn into a strange occurence. This flight has been mostly full since I've been taking, except for the 25th January due to Australia Day the following day. Doing seat selection and multi-OLCI this seemed to be tha case again today. I only made it into 9D and thought that could be because of opening my big mouth on here about all the good seats I've been getting lately. Imagine my surprise to find that the plane was rather empty with free middle ...

  5. A flight of firsts

    by , 30th April 2010 at 06:13 PM
Well I was about 5th onto my flight last night. Seat 4E on a 737-800, I was trying things out to see if row 4 will cancel out having to sit in the middle. this is a long story, but short version is that I'm stuggling to adapt to carrying a CPAP in addition to my usual carry on (105cm wheel case adn small backpack for laptop), not helped by the CPAP needing a 90W charging brick.

Anyway, the first first was getting on the flight so early and the hosties calling us forward for being keen ...
