Currently sitting in the ADL QP, I'm on Qantas this week for a break. Entry was funny. Flashed the card, when through the ritual of have you checked in? Yes. We need to see you BP, with an indication to go to the service desk. Where upon the kind CSA printed me a BP. I decided to mention that I didn't want a BP, to get blank stares in return. Then I explained that with the card I don't need a BP and at that point the first CSA kindly said "some of them don't want a BP". Interesting exchange, and very polite for 5am.

While all that was happening the CSA did inform me that there was a 20 minute controlled departure. It seems that Karma (or SYD ATC) saw my post last week and decided to even the score this week. I don't have a DJ app on my phone so I'm not sure how to check if the DJ flight is delayed or not, besides getting off my backside and wandering in that direction.

One final note is that priority boarding in SYD last week was for platinum and gold (oh and business) with no mention of Oneworld status levels. Ever so slightly frustrating as this is not a benefit of QF gold (without Oneworld being mentioned). I should send them an email or something - but haven't been bothered. The chill pill is working, or you're seeing the limit of my endurance with this kind of pedantry.

Postscript: A quick check of departures on the Adelaide airport website revels that QF730 is scheduled for a 6:20am and DJ401 is scheduled for 7:55am. If that is all ATC delay then DJ is being royally done over. (BTW with that kind of delay I do wonder if there is some other explanation for the delay of the DJ flight)
