  1. These pants were made for flying......

On my recent trip to the USA I wore my Lorna Jane pants. Super comfortable and very nice looking. Standing in the queue at LAX immigration I looked at the girl behind me. Pants twins! Even the same colour which prompted a discussion on our favourite Lorna clothes

Fast forward to my flight home and I'm at the gate when I notice I have a watch twin. I pointed out that we were watch twins. This girl replied that we were also pants twins

  3. My trip to White Island (or how I came to swim next to an active volcano)

You watch the safety video in the terminal and learn the emergency oxygen system looks like an alfoil bag with plastic window worn by an astronaut in a sci-fi movie made in the 1950’s.

Prior to boarding you learn that should emergency oxygen be required, the rear door will be opened and luggage will be jettisoned. This gets fresh air in the plane and allows passengers to stop looking like astronauts.

In the terminal you can buy a microwaved pastie for $2.

  5. My trip from Sydney to Townsville

    by , 18th March 2010 at 07:23 PM
Today I was woken at 0400 by the light being switched on. Due to poor planning by higher up I was accommodated with the boys. With the light being switched on one of my bosses leapt out of bed in his jocks. Whoa, a sight for sore eyes. We boarded 2 buses and to my amusement headed to arrivals, which I learnt was the location for GROUP CHECK-IN. After waiting for a Japanese group to check-in whilst simultaneously eating their cut lunches it was our 50+ groups' turn. The hurry up and wait continued ...
