I don't have anything personal against the 31st of May. It's the last day of Autumn, reminding me I need to knit some more jumpers. It is someone's birthday. The 31st of May is also the day I say good-bye to my SC's. They'll slip away during the night. Not completely, they are in my lifetime SC's, in some ways like a photo in an album reminding me of fun times past.

Before they slip away from my current album I'm looking back at the fun I had this year. New York was great, catching up with a friend I hadn't seen for 8 years. Then came two work trips to Darwin. One booked at such short notice I flew via Cairns. I didn't mind, I was earning full economy SC's. I then requalified Silver and had a choice. Keep crediting to QF or look at DJ. The price deferential was small enogh that QF won. Then there was that flight out of Sydney where I was using the bag drop and one of your staff walked up to me and told me I had to use the economy queue. But I have a q-reader tag I replied as I continued with the bag drop. That staff member stood there giving me dirty looks, but I had the last laugh when QF sent me a survey for that flight. But it left me unhappy and next time I flew DJ.

Farewell SC's, I'll wake tomorrow with a balance of zero and wonder what adventures you will bring me.
