23D, a quiche and a rattling 767

When T-80 came round earlier in the week I took the risk and chose 23D, which seat guru lists as yellow. I figured it's a short flight from Brisbane to Sydney. I thought the leg room was fine but for some odd reason I found putting my feet on the bulkhead in front of me rather comfortable. I was one of the first to board and not long after some random sat in 23E (for those who don't know, there is no 23F). He asked me if that was seat F then showed me his boarding pass. He was meant to be in 47F
The couple who scored 24E & F turned out to have no status and had apparently phoned ahead to say they were stuck in traffic and running late and got allocated that seat. Thet were surprised to learn 24F is considered very popular. 23E ended up being a silver who had switched from a later flight and had been out drinking till 5am.
Meal service came along and I said yes then was handed a quiche. I then shrugged my shoulders and ate it. That might not sound much but a habit is forming. I stopped eating eggs by the age of 4 then twice this year have eaten them - a fritatta from LA to Sydney then this quiche. What are you doing to me Qantas??? A food I have refused to eat since last century is tasting really nice!
23E said he'd been on a few 767's lately and said 'I think this is the one that rattles'. Sure enough, it rattled and rattled on take off but much less on landing. I told him about the plane that barks and how happy I had been when I heard it.
Interesting was that the first bags off the flight were labelled standby - must have been a full flight. There were 2 pilots in the J cabin (along with 2 pilots in the cockpit). And at least 6 children in J.
That's a few random comments on my flight today.
