As my Japanese is near non-existent (being able to say "isn't it a nice day today?" doesn't help using these headphones), I've had to try to chas eup an English Manual, and I don't think one actually exists. There is a similar model available in the US that has English instructions, and the pictures look kind of the same, so i'll use this to try and figure out the details of using these headphones..

It is one transfer of up to 100,000 points per year. You could have a booking for a relative done on that account to use those extra points and that booking could go forward in time by about 355 days.

Richard Branson isn’t accountable for Virgin Australia. But have you considered posting this as a thread so a Virgin Australia rep on the website can maybe help you out? A blog entry isn’t all that useful.

Plus I hope you realise that this is a frequent flying fan website, other than a few official reps helping out occasionally, it’s not an official channel for seeking help.

No, BA lounges (except for the Concorde Lounge) are still available for oneworld members (it's actually a condition of alliance membership), subject to all the normal requirements (e.g. flying that day on a oneworld flight).

What you are referring to is BA's knocking back of Qantas Club members, i.e. members of the Qantas Club who have neither Gold nor Platinum status, and who are not flying in F or J on BA. There's a lengthy thread on this.

Lots of 'regional' J in Europe is one class throughout the whole aircraft with the middle seat blocked. A good idea in the future would be to ask on AFF prior to booking anything to see if anyone can share an experience.

I was reading a thread earlier today discussing just your issue, but on another European airline instead.

If you sign up for a Qantas Staff Credit Union Platinum card you get a total bonus of 5,00 signon and 5,000 points per month over the first 5 months (subject to spending once per month) a total of 30,000 points and they waive the first year fee they also give you 1 for 1 points and 2 points per dollar on some transactions...... I am pretty sure non staff can join up as well... give them a call, its a great deal

    Good Luck

Very good Tony ....you are leading a life that I have pulled back from.
By the way in Perth we use an ironing service and it comes back 24 hours later.
Hard to comment on midlands of Blighty so I read that with full interest seeing I have never had that pleasure.
    Keep at it!

    Hi Drpnash,

You can get reliable Minisims from the VisitBritain website (UK Govt) these sims can be used anywhere - good rates and they Express Post the Minisim to you only takes a few days. I have used a cuople of times and on my third one in about seven days, got one for mobile and one for IPad.

My American Express Ultimate Card with the Qantas logo on it gives 1.5 points for eavy dollar spent, but there is a yearly fee that is semi offset with a return domestic flight to certain locations.

My westpac earth gold gives you 1 point for each $1 spent on the amex and 0.5 points for each $1 spent on the mastercard. This has no fees when you link it with a home loan.

Both give free travel insurance, but some international airlines don't except the Amex.

This is the Flash file, if you can download it and examine it’s contents with an Adobe product or some other, you may be able to get the audio file. I had a brief look but couldn’t work it out sorry.

I had to shut the office door Tony to have a good belly laugh at your "expense" although love the blackout due to the good stuff. Keep up the postings as I enjoy a good chuckle.

Mrscove is pretty chuffed that we are booked on points to go BA LAX to LHR direct and QF LHR to SIN in First. We decided not to do a stop in New York in the middle of winter.
I was happy to see availability of 2 first savers for just over 200 k each thru Any Seat for the London to Singapore leg on Qantas as we have been using SQ for most of our long hauls.
    A happy wife......
