The DF Quandry continues....

As a follow up from my last post about DF bought in Mumbai, I have noticed something further on the QF site.
On my flight from BOM - MEL, I will transit SIN and according to the QF site:
"Customers who are entering Australia via transit in Singapore will not be allowed to carry duty free items purchased from previous sectors."
Qantas Carry on Baggage based on Country Specific requirements
Has anyone bought DF and transited SIN en route to Oz? Was any DF confiscated? Again, this just seems odd to me.
