Hey guys,
I'm sure I know the answer to this, but thought I'd check anyway. I've got an Australian issued AMEX but I'm living in Europe at the moment. I'd like to setup a European PayPal account as they accept AMEX over here, but PayPal keeps rejecting the card. I assume because its an Australian issued card.
Does anybody have any expirence with this sort of thing? Or know of any European PayPal type of thing that will accept my Oz AMEX?

From my own experience with Paypal, your card needs to be issued in the same country as the account.
There was a thread a little bit ago about Australian accounts getting AMEX use, but there were all sorts of problems. You’d have to create an account and check for yourself if it works I guess.
My Oz Amex's work fine with PP UK.
I just spoke with AMEX Australia who dropt a bombshell.
The lady I spoke with said that AMEX and PAYPAL where about to sign an international agreement that would allow all PAYPALs worldwide to accept all AMEX cards. She couldn't give me a time frame but said they where just in the final stages of sorting out the details.

PayPal Australia is working with Australian-issued AmEx's however you must have added it during the period that they allowed it. It appears as if they put on hold new AmEx additions due to some issues they were having. Hopefully they will re-enable new additions soon.

@OP: Have you tried changing your billing address to a European one?
